VISUAL CATALOG: How do I suspend or activate a hold?

 

1. From the Visual Catalog, click "Log In" and enter your library card account number and last name:

2. Click your account name at the top of the page:

 

3. Click "account activity" and then click "holds."

4. Tick the box next to each title. Click "suspend until" and choose a date (you won't receive the item on that date, but the hold will be activated on that date. If you are #1 in the queue at that time, you will receive the next available copy.)

Or, click "re-activate" to indicate you are ready for the item now. Do not click "cancel" unless you want to cancel your hold entirely.

There is no option available to suspend a hold that is "in-transit" or has "arrived." Items on the hold shelf will stay there for one week, and if they are not checked out, they will be made available for other borrowers.
